The Plant Coordinator (PPMC) is responsible for coordinating the daytoday operations of the plant ensuring the smooth functioning of production maintenance and safety processes.
This role acts as a liaison between various departments including production maintenance logistics and quality control to ensure optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
o Work closely with production teams to ensure proper scheduling and adherence to
timelines.
o Monitor production progress and resolve any issues or delays that arise.
o Ensure materials and resources are available for production activities.
Inventory and Logistics:
o Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with Purchase department
to ensure timely delivery.
o Track finished goods inventory and manage dispatch logistics through export
documentation team.
o Support in the scheduling of shipments and distribution of finished goods.
Quality Control Support:
o Required coordination to ensure all products meet quality standards and comply
with regulatory requirements.
o Support the implementation of any corrective actions when quality issues arise.
Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure that the plant is operating in compliance with all safety environmental
and health regulations.
o Conduct regular safety checks and promote a culture of safety awareness within
the plant.
o Coordinate training sessions for staff on plant safety procedures and best
practices.
Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare daily weekly and monthly production reports for management review.
o Maintain accurate records of production schedules maintenance activities and
inventory levels.
o Assist in the preparation of compliance and safety audits.
CrossDepartment Collaboration:
o Act as a liaison between the production maintenance quality and logistics teams.
o Facilitate communication to resolve issues promptly and ensure seamless
operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Any Bachelors degree or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
o 25 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferably
in a coordination or supervisory role.
o Experience with production scheduling maintenance planning and inventory
management.
Skills:
o Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
o Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
o Knowledge of safety protocols and plant operations.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and any industryspecific software (e.g.
ERP CMMS).
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications (Optional):
o Relevant certifications in plant management maintenance or safety may be
preferred (e.g. Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing).
