Responsibilities
- Working independently issue/review orders to suppliers recognize logistical needs of customers and internal personnel and understand the coordination needed to ensuredocumentation flow to meet the needs of contract .
- Build rapport with other CHS offices maintaining positive relationships to establish successful contract between intercompany offices and profit centers.
- Collaborate with merchandisers logistics and accounting teams to ensure contracts are set up properly thereby assuring accuracy and consistency in contract .
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Verify customer contracts throughout the global market with emphasis in a specific region of the world and issue and maintain accurate documentation.
- Produce timely and accurate customer invoices to ensure the prompt payment.
- Maintain an accurate p/l terms of trade and market position.
- Comply with government regulations and advise customers of these rules as needed.
- Verify review and present documents for paymentunder letters of credit. Issue and verify standby letters of credit. Ensure timely and accurate documentation for collection of funds on executed merchandisers transactions.
- Work with numerous financial institutions to negotiate pricing and costs for letter of credit transations and trade finance.
- Ensure accurate records are being maintained for warehoused commodities.
- Provide training and assistance to less senior team members.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
Additional Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Indepth understanding of the contract creation process and governing trading roles
- Indepth understandingand use of compliance tools and regulations
- Advanced knowledge ofletters of credit and their applications rules and guidelines from Corporate Finance foreign countries etc.
- Advanced knowledge of a diverse list of agricultural commodities products and their governing contracts
- Bachelors degree preferred in Business Systems Engineering Supply Chain Management Logistics Operations Management or related field
