Were on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant House Supervisor to join our vibrant team on a fulltime fixedterm basis (until 25/11/2025. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping the lives of young people in our residential care homes.

In this exciting position youll take charge of the daily care of our young residents ensuring they thrive in a safe nurturing environment. When the House Supervisor is away youll step up as a trusted leader guiding the team and ensuring everything runs smoothly. As an essential part of our Out of Home Care Program youll work alongside the House Supervisor to provide crucial support making a lasting impact on the wellbeing of each young person under your care.

Our Offer

  • Hourly Rateof $43.08 to $46.35 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 4 dependent on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of hourly rate.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current and valid Drivers Licence;
  • Hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four 4 additional mandatory competencies (top up units)
