IndependentSkills Center Coordinator
Job Summary:
This is a full time 260 day position.
The Independent Skills Center Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the Independent Skills Center Program. The ISC Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing operational and instructional support to contracted staff and ensuring quality services within the ISC program. This position assists in maintaining a positive learning environment for students by supporting staff in implementing districtapproved instructional and behavioral practices coordinating resources and acting as a liaison between the district and schoolbased employees. The coordinator collaborates closely with the Director of Special Education to support program initiatives and align services with district standards.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk sit stand use hands for fine manipulation handle or feel and reach with hands and arms and use a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision.

The work environments combine a standard office setting including standard office equipment (fax copier phone computer audio/visual equipment etc. in a standard school setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate and occasionally high depending upon student population and activities. The employee may be exposed to blood borne pathogens and/or physically and emotionally dysregulated students.
