Job Description
Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. We are committed to responsible resource development environmental performance and building strong partnerships with communities and Indigenous Peoples.

About the role:
Entry Level/Labour perform a variety of duties including physical labour janitorial duties operating equipment and steam bay duties. No equipment operating experience is necessary. EVR provides all new employees with extensive internal training. Come experience the opportunities for career growth and advance your knowledge in the mining sector!
The position is sitebased at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood B.C is necessary.
Schedule: 4x4 shift rotation consisting of days and nights
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Perform a variety of duties including physical labour janitorial duties operating equipment and steam bay duties
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Perform heavy lifting in a safe manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Previous heavy equipment operations or industrial experience is considered an asset
$64000 $82000 a year
Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the preemployment requirements of a preemployment drug screen and references.
