Construction Safety Consultant

EnSafe is accepting applications for aConstruction Safety Consultantto work at a client site inColumbus OH. (For 12 years). After our clients construction projects the successful candidate will transition into a fulltime safety consultant (based in Columbus) helping clients with risk assessment services such as lockout/tagout program development machine guarding assessments confined space hazard assessments program development and similar projects.

This role would be excellent for a seasoned leader with 10 years of experience including experience with construction safety.

What We Are Looking For:

A Construction Safety Consultant experienced in leading and fostering a safetyconscious culture in the workplace to minimize accidents and injuries. This Construction Safety Consultant will help oversee various types of construction projects assist with the prevention of injuries and other safetyrelated incidents and help implement companyestablished safety/health rules. The Construction Safety Consultant is expected to work closely with site project managers and help manage daytoday constructionrelated activities including preconstruction planning design review construction/equipment installation and project closeout.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Working closely with site leadership to assist in managing overall safety programs for a fully integrated nutritional plant with 300400 employees.
• Assisting with the implementation of plant safety programs/procedures during construction projects
• Conducting construction site safety audits
• Assisting contractors with daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Working closely with the clients project managers to foster safe work practices
• Advancing taskspecific job safety analyses for work performed at the facility
• Assisting with safety training sessions
• Completing daily reports for client

What Youll Need:

• B.S. degree in Safety related field or 10 years of related experience preferred.
• Some experience with construction safety
• Working knowledge of the clients project managers to foster safe work practices and address atrisk behaviors
• Professional designations (CSP CIH CHMM) are a plus.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
• Strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
• Team building skills.
• Microsoft Office skills required.
• A history of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
• Key technical abilities in; machine guarding trenching and excavating lockout/tagout line breaking confined space entry overhead cranes electrical safety and chemical safety
