  • Job Summary:

    Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a compassionate creative and experienced PreKindergarten Lead Teacher to join our early learning team! The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum cultivating a nurturing and faithfilled classroom environment and supporting the social emotional academic and spiritual growth of young learners. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and enthusiastic about collaborating with families and colleagues within a supportive school community.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate and engaging curriculum for PreK students.
    • Create a warm inclusive and structured classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.
    • Foster socialemotional development through intentional routines positive reinforcement and playbased learning.
    • Assess and monitor student progress through observation documentation and ongoing communication with families.
    • Partner with the PreK Instructional Assistant to support daily classroom routines and ensure student success.
    • Lead ageappropriate activities in literacy math religion art music movement and outdoor play.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers through conferences newsletters and daily interactions.
    • Collaborate with colleagues administration and support staff to meet the needs of each child.
    • Maintain classroom cleanliness safety and organization.
    • Participate in staff meetings school events and professional development opportunities.
    • Follow Archdiocesan Safe Environment training requirements and Washington state childcare regulations for school staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an early childhood or primary setting preferred.
      Knowledge of child development and best practices in PreK education.
    • Passion for Catholic education and supporting the spiritual development of young children.
    • Strong classroom management communication and organizational skills.
      CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

    Salary: The salary range for this position is $45000 $86000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
