About the Opportunity

Join our highly respected National Ecology team! We are expanding and seeking a Senior Zoologist for our Perth office. The ideal candidate will have experience in ecological consulting with developing skills in surveys reporting and assessments. About You

• A degree/postgraduate qualification in environmental science botany zoology (or similar)
• Demonstrated experience in planning coordinating and undertaking fauna surveys in Perth (experience in flora surveys also highly regarded)
• Wildlife handling experience (i.e. with bats; small grounddwelling mammals; reptiles; amphibians) are highly regarded
• Strong bird identification skills (aural and visual identification) and bat identification skills are highly regarded
• An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including and not limited to clients government agencies and fellow team members
• Demonstrated experience in the collection and interpretation of ecological and spatial data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including prior experience in assisting with the preparation of reports
• Prior experience and/or knowledge of Perth environmental legislation is highly regarded
• A high level of motivation and selfdirection
• Be willing to work flexible hours and travel for work
