Job Description
We are currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our Lunenburg Operations. The Millwright will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic maintenance team in a progressive work environment. This is a unionized position located at our plant in Lunenburg NS. The successful candidate will be assigned to an available shift by seniority following completion of inhouse training. Relocation assistance available to those who are eligible
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for general repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Completion of preventative maintenance tasks
- General mechanical work in a production environment
- Ability to work with hand and powered tools
- Other projects/duties as required
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Millwright certification.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while contributing to overall plant safety and cleanliness
- Inspecting and monitoring machinery and equipment for pinch points and safety hazards; installing safety devices as required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of following instruction manuals and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication team and people skills
- Selfmotivated with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- The ability to provide excellent customer service in a demanding production environment
- Candidates must be capable of working rotating shifts.
