Location: This role could be in Fishers Fort Wayne Indiana or Louisville Kentucky. This is not a remote position. (We provide relocation accommodations)
Role & Responsibilities:
A mechanical or electrical estimator in the commercial construction industry is responsible for analyzing project specifications blueprints and other documentation to prepare detailed estimates for mechanical and electrical systems. This role involves assessing costs for labor materials equipment and subcontractor services as well as collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate bidding. The estimator must maintain uptodate knowledge of industry standards pricing trends and building codes to deliver competitive and comprehensive estimates that align with project budgets and timelines. Strong analytical skills attention to detail and proficiency in estimation software are essential for success in this position.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in largescale vertical commercial construction estimating. BA/BS/AS or other accredited degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience. Demonstrated effective verbal written and presentation skills. Preferred experience with preconstruction estimating.
