Purpose of the role
The Career Consultant provides support for Omnia Inclusive candidates/participants in preparation for employment and/or life skills. They play a critical role in ensuring candidates/participants are supported and fully understand the employment preparation and placement requirements and pathways available to them.

About the role
Career Consultants work closely with Business Relationship Consultants and Workplace Consultants to leverage employment options to ensure they have the appropriate skills experience fit for the role and that the employer provides a supportive work environment committed to their success.
In this role some of the key responsibilities include:
Conduct oneonone consultations with clients to assess their career needs and goals
Develop personalized career plans based on client assessments
Provide guidance on job search strategies resume writing interview preparation networking etc.
Assist clients in identifying potential job opportunities that align with their skills and interests
Support clients in overcoming barriers to employment or advancement
Monitor client progress towards achieving their career goals
Stay uptodate on industry trends and labor market information
About you
The suitable incumbent would have:
Bachelors degree in counseling psychology human resources or related field
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Career Counselor or similar role
Certification in career development (e.g. NCDA) preferred
Experience working with diverse populations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problemsolving abilities
Knowledge of career development theories and practices
Proficiency in conducting assessments and interpreting results
Familiarity with job search strategies and resources
Experience in resume writing and interview preparation
Strong organizational skills
