Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic selfmotivated General Counsel and Company Secretary who thrives in a fastpaced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Bangalore India.
Accountabilities:
- Taking conduct of significant Indian and APACbased legal matters
- Supervising a team of 2 other Indianbased lawyers
- Interfacing with senior management of Indian Hitachi Rail entity as well as other senior members of the legal team located outside of India
- Performing responsibilities of Company Secretary
- Interpreting negotiating and closing out complex deals for the Rail Sector Business Unit in India and Asia Pac
- Interpreting and guiding senior management in relation to regulatory and legislative requirements
- Taking conduct of significant arbitrations and litigations
- Interacting with the compliance function
- Post qualification experience of 1520 years
- Preferably with experience at an international industrial conglomerate
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Significant commercial experience 15 years) working in complex multidiscipline Companies
- Law Degree from a reputable University
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple key stakeholders displaying highly polished interpersonal and communication skills.
- Agile mindset able to take prompt decisions in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to guide & influence key stakeholders
