Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in a communityfocused role Brooklines Council on Aging is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Transportation Program Coordinator. In this role you will plan develop and oversee programs that address the transportation needs of older adults in Brookline. You will be responsible for daytoday transportation planning and scheduling administrative functions outreach plans grant administration and creating educational programs related to transportation for older residents in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of COA transportation programs including scheduling routing and dispatching services.
- Provide orientation to transportation programs for older residents both individually and in groups.
- Develop and distribute marketing materials and conduct outreach for current transportation programs.
- Track and report on the usage of transportation programs using internal reporting templates and external grants management systems.
- Manage external vendors for transportation services and research new vendors for potential expansion.
- Assist with the acquisition and maintenance of COA vehicles and manage training schedules for van and bus drivers.
- Supervise staff volunteers and interns involved in COA transportation programs.
- Manage a volunteer group that meets bimonthly online and at the Senior Center coordinating training and development for new volunteers.
- Collaborate with other town departments the Brookline Housing Authority and community entities on transportation programs.
- Serve as a liaison to local and regional community leaders in transportation and aging services.
- Research develop and write grant applications for future funding of transportation programs. Monitor and administer grant awards ensuring compliance with guidelines and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Gerontology Transportation or Program Management.
- 23 years of related experience preferably working with older adults.
- Experience in grant administration is desirable.
- Valid MA Drivers license required.
