Job Description
Key Resource Group is partnering with a Durable Medical Device distributor in Amherst NY on a search for a Medical Biller. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily activities of data entry prebilling billing and collections. The Billing Specialist will ensure the accuracy of all claims submitted perform followup on accounts not paid timely process all adjustments with approval and verify insurance coverage when necessary. Role will also collect cash on outstanding Accounts Receivables.

- Collaborate with team to assist in daily activities
- Monitor revenue cycle outcomes relative to copay collection insurance verification authorization referral management and denials
- Deal effectively with insurance carriers and their representatives
- Consult with patients by telephone in order to determine the reason for overdue payment by reviewing terms of sales service or credit contract
- Maintain effective communication and general office skills
- Manage Account Receivables of assigned accounts including processing insurance denials/appeals which may include phone contact with insurance companies
- Identify and resolve patient billing complaints
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
