Job Description
Department: Production Progressive Transfer
Scope of job: Operates machine

Range: Operates machine
Experience level: Entry level; up to three months to learn job
Reports to: Progressive and Transfer Supervisor
Education: High school or equivalent
Expertise
Essential:
Knowledge of mechanical processes
Math
Machining
Use of gages micrometer and calipers
SPC
Desirable:
Computers
Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains a transfer machine composed of multiple stations connected by transfer mechanisms. Responsibilities include transferring positioning and securing workpieces as well as performing machining operations.
Inspects stamped workpieces for surface defects and verifies conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gages and checking fixtures
Load coils tread material through die
Performs required PMs such as sump cleanings and maintaining cleanliness around workspace
Performs other customer driven or product driven duties as assigned by Supervisor
Have willingness to grow and advance to Setup and Run position
Physical requirements:
Flexibility: squatting reaching and bending at the waste
Lifting: moderate 4060 pounds occasionally) and/or 1025 pounds frequently or up to 10 pounds constantly
Mobility: walking and standing for whole shift
