In this role you will have the opportunity to perform secretarial duties for the Workers Compensation Judge and provide a full range of office support within the district office. As a Clerical Assistant 3 you will schedule hearing events in accordance with the Workers Compensation Act. Prior to each hearing day you will and prepare the courtroom both in person and virtually for the Judge. This includes gathering and preparing documents files and any other pertinent information. You will be responsible for reviewing submitted documentation or exhibits and alerting the judge to errors or inconsistencies. Your communication skills will be key as you reply to general questions from the public attorneys media and law enforcement in addition to generating general correspondence and answering phone and email inquiries. You will have the opportunity to make independent decisions concerning scheduling cancellation and postponement of hearing mediations and a variety of case management issues based on policies and procedures.
