The Greater Victoria School District #61 is looking to hire a Benefits Specialist . This is a full time continuing position working 35 hours per week.
The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20000 students in the Greater Victoria Area encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service the district has a current operating budget of $260 million and employs approximately 3500 staff; which includes teachers principals and viceprincipals support staff psychologists speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.
Under direction of the Manager of Payroll and Benefits the Benefits Specialist performs a variety of routine and nonroutine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting and benefits administration. This position fulfils the districts operational responsibility for benefits administration of all employee groups by ensuring benefits are reviewed and accurate and by contributing to the efficient operation of the Payroll and Benefits Section.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
This is a 35 hour per week CUPE position at a pay rate of $33.84 per hour Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. For a detailed job description please click here.
