Medical Technologist Blood Bank
Location: Medford Oregon
Shift: First Shift 6:00 AM 2:30 PM)
Schedule: 8hour shifts 5 days a week with every third weekend rotation
Salary: $36.79 $50.59 (Depending on Qualifications)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled medical technologist blood bank to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have previous blood bank experience and be responsible for performing both routine and specialized laboratory procedures in a hospital setting. This position requires expertise in blood banking immunology microbiology hematology microscopy and chemistry while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance accuracy and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory tests using both manual and automated techniques.
- Conduct routine and specialized testing in blood bank hematology chemistry and microbiology.
- Receive and process specimens including blood urine and bodily fluids.
- Maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in medical technology chemistry biochemistry biology or a related field.
Experience:
- Previous blood bank experience required.
- Minimum two years of hospital laboratory experience.
Certifications:
- MT/MLS (ASCP) certification required.
- BLS certification not required.
