Responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services. Demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations. Demonstrate the skills knowledge and ability to understand implement as well as impact regulatory guidelines and professional standards. Provides prevention case management and consultation services to individuals in schools. All services are family focused and are provided in the school settings.

As a School Based Clinician you are responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services in a school setting within the Devereux Schools. Demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations. Demonstrate the skills knowledge and ability to understand implement as well as impact regulatory guidelines and professional standards. Provides prevention case management and consultation services to individuals in schools. All services are family focused and are provided in the office schools home or other community settings. This is done in accordance with the Agencys Vision Mission and Values.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students based on referral from school district staff.
- Provide Training and information sessions for parents and other stakeholders on mental health awareness and risk factors
- Facilitates/cofacilitates groups within the schools as well as in the community as needed utilizing evidence based curriculums
- Being part of an interdisciplinary team with educational staff completing progress monitoring and providing services dictated by students IEP
- Team for students who are referred due to currently having barriers to learning due to possible substance use and/or mental health concerns.
- Performs screening assessments as required and participates in outcome initiatives.
- Provides individual counseling to students based on referral
- Facilitates psychoeducational groups within the schools
- Accurately enters service documentation into the electronic health record and data into the required reporting systems within established timeframes
- Completes all necessary reports within established timeframes
- Assists with crisis intervention/prevention services
- Develops strong working relationships with schools through respectful communication and accountability. Provides consultation and training to school staff on mental health awareness and risk factors. Make recommendations for initiatives around school based mental health and prevention strategies

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline. Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Associate Counselor encouraged to apply.

EXPERIENCE: : Minimum of two years verified paid experience providing mental health treatment required. Current and valid drivers license required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant amounts of walking sitting and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100 mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
