Job Description
Picerne Real Estate Group has been building and managing properties on a continuing basis since 1925. With 3 generations of Picerne leadership providing continued growth on a national stage pride of ownership is very important to our company. We are currently seeking a CommercialMaintenance Technician with proven skills for retail and office properties located in Cranston andWarwick RI.
Our preference is to hire someone on a parttime basis to start 23 days per week) with the possibility to be fulltime after a 4 to 6 month probationary period.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel between 20 local properties as needed. Respond to inspect site issues/work orders as requested by Property Manager. Make minor repairs including basic mechanical carpentry plumbing electrical and painting as needed.
- Demonstrate effective and exceptional communication skills for communicating with tenants coworkers and vendors.
- Demonstrate ability to work alone and follow safety protocols.
- Take initiative to suggest required property improvements.
- Inspect grounds and pick up trash at properties. Inspect roofs lighting and HVAC systems regularly.
- Meet with and give access to HVAC fire alarm electrical and plumbing vendors when scheduled.
- Manage janitorial vendors and janitorial supply inventory at office properties.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Reliable vehicle to start mileage will be paid with possibility for company vehicle when fulltime.
- Background screenings required.
- Parttime schedule is flexible with hours between 7 AM and 4 PM MondayFriday. Some oncall time is required for emergencies.
- $22per hour to start
