Job Summary
The Security Operations Canter (SOC) provides DDoS detection and mitigation services for DigiCert and customers networks. The SOC also provides all Customer Support capabilities for the UltraSecurity service. We are seeking an Associate Information Security Engineer to support our evergrowing customer base. This is a Swing Shift position (US EST) with hours of 12pm 10pm EST.
What You Will Do
- Exhibit a proactive security mindset to defend customer networks from DDoS attacks.
- Assist with complex attacks to refine mitigation strategies.
- Monitor customer networks and mitigate DDoS attacks.
- Monitor the SOC ticket queue and proactively take action to protect DigiCert and customer networks.
- Answer the phone queue for Tier 1 support for UltraDDoS and UltraWAF customers.
What You Will Have
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Zendesk.
- Fluent in writing and speaking English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage in continuous learning and applying strong analytical skills to respond to customer needs and problemsolving.
- Understanding of IPv4 low level networking and protocols to include DNS and BGP.
- Understanding of and ability to explain the OSI Model.
Nice to Have
- PSAA (Practical SOC Analyst Associate) certification
- CompTIA Network and Security certifications
- Experience with Arbor equipment and Sightline Threat Management system
