Job Description
The Mundy Companiesa leader in the industrial maintenance services and construction fields is currently hiringthe following for a longterm position in the Freeport Texasarea:
WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three 3 years of continuous and current experience as a Warehouse Technicianin a petrochemical industrial or manufacturing environment. Warehouse Technicians perform any combination of tasks to receive store and distribute materials tools equipment and products within warehouses and/or onsite facilities. Experience operating a standard sitdown forklift isREQUIREDfor this position.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads work order shipping order or requisition order to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated ares by hand hand truck or forklift
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type color or product code
- Fills requisitions work orders or requests for materials and other stock items
- May also distribute tools
- Records materials or items received and distributed
- May be responsible for inventory and inventory control
- May be required to load or unload materials from trucks trailers or rail cars
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This positionrequires a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is also required.All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check preemployment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
This position is a 4 on 4 off rotating shift in a facility that is open 24/7 365. If scheduled candidates will be expected to work weekends and holidays.
