Job Summary
Provide technical assistance to computer system users concerning the use of computer hardware and software including printing installation word processing electronic mail and operating systems. Support custom applications internally and help troubleshoot and resolve and issues that arise with them.

- Two year degree in computerrelated field and/or two years successful experience helping others with computer needs
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Valid drivers license
- Able to prioritize work with demands from multiple people
- Some programming experience especially with SQL JavaScript Python PowerShell
- Experience with ERP software especially in a manufacturing environment beneficial
- Knowledge of EDI
- Experience monitoring complex systems and troubleshooting errors
Primary responsibilities
- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware software or peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications
- Read technical manuals confer with users or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support
- Communicate technical information using appropriate interpersonal communication techniques
- Create documentation for processes performed
- Monitor and maintain automated processes
- Work with platform vendors to resolve system interoperation issues which may require phone and email support.
- Troubleshoot custom applications and respond to internal requests

Psychological Considerations
- Standard office work sitting at a computer terminal and using a keyboard and mouse (RSI exposure)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stoop bend and crawl to reach cables etc
Environmental Considerations
Work activity is indoors in a controlled environment
Long periods of sitting at a computer terminal using a keyboard are required
Occasional walks through manufacturing area includes exposure to temperature extremesCognitive Considerations
Must be willing and able to improve skills and expand skill areas
