As a Lead Software Engineer Android at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly leads and mentor a team of mobile application and fullstack developers fostering collaboration and growth.
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decisionmakers to consider the use and application of leadingedge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on Android application development and 5 years applied experience
- Experience leading mobile technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Handson practical experience in one or more mobile application development environments Android
- Advanced in Jetpack Compose Java Kotlin Coroutines Android Studio
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable indepth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.
- Experience with UX and end user experience
- Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives.
- Practical cloud native experience and mobile application deployment
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Familiarity with web application development
