About the Role:
Databricks is seeking a Associate Legal Counsel to support our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) vertical. Reporting to the Director Assistant General Counsel you will negotiate Master Services Agreements Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) NDAs SOWs and other key contracts with healthcare and life sciences customers. This role requires expertise in healthcare transactions and related and regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA.
What Youll Do
- Negotiate and draft contracts with HLS customers ensuring compliance with privacy data security and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with crossfunctional teams (sales finance product compliance) to drive revenuegenerating transactions while mitigating risks.
- Streamline contracting processes improving templates terms and workflows to support highscale transactions.
- Advise on legal and business risks becoming a subject matter expert on customer transactions in the HLS vertical.
- Support strategic initiatives and OKRs including contract management improvements and special projects across the legal team.
Who you Are
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
- 5 years of contract negotiation experience in SaaS and healthcare/life sciences at a highgrowth technology company.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA data privacy and healthcare regulations requirements and related contracting tactics.
- Processoriented mindset with experience improving contracting workflows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams government stakeholders and external counsel.
