Internship Program
At Five9 we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for our interns. We tailor our program to provide participants with real impactful work contributing directly to the continued success of Five9. Through our Speaker Series Intern Buddies Employee Resource Groups and other events youll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best in the business.
This is a fulltime paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon CA. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or midJune.

I have always been very careeroriented and this summer Ive realized how important it is to also focus on other aspects of my life. Meeting different employees at Five9 and hearing their career trajectory made me realize that everything will work out eventually and to take my time exploring my interests. However that doesnt mean I will halt all career goals. I plan to continue networking with industry professionals and building my knowledge on using different data analytics tools. The Team
Were a collaborative energized team of talented designers passionate about building awesome products. We value knowledge sharing and mutual growth making it a common practice to level up together. Were a Figmaloving multidisciplinary team working in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in user research: Participate in user interviews surveys and usability testing and help the team gather and synthesize insights.
- Convert user insights into product design communication artifacts like journey maps and personas.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to create user flows mockups and high fidelity prototypes using components from our design system.
- Participate in design critiques and reviews: Present and receive feedback on design work contributing to iterative improvement.
- Utilize your visual design skills to assist giving designs a visual polish.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams: Work closely with product managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design alignment.
- Support the design team with daytoday tasks.
Qualifications
- Rising college senior or above pursuing an undergrad degree in Product UX Design and User Research.
- Must be able to work out of the San Ramon CA headquarters this summer.
- Excellent communication presentation and storytelling skills.
- Stellar visual design skills and a deep understanding of UX and UI principles.
- Proficient Figma chops including working as a consumer of components from our design systems autolayout building components and prototyping.
- Familiar with user research methodologies (e.g. interviews surveys usability testing etc..
This is a fulltime paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon CA. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or mid June. This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M W TH) in office is required.
