Job Description
In conjunction with the Executive Artistic Director EAD the Associate Artistic Director AAD will represent MSIP within the 501c(3 Friends of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks organization act as a public face for MSIP assist with programmatic functions and support additional fundraising efforts and administrative oversight. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Represent outreach efforts and artistic programming internally and externally as a consistent public face for artists donors community members and Montana State University. Contribute to MSIPs mission of becoming a fully antiracist multicultural organization. Coordinate with the EAD and Director of Access and Engagement to facilitate and grow MSIPs educational programs and community outreach efforts. Working with the Production Manager (PM) in maintaining and overseeing production budgets. Artistically (Design Perform Direct Coach) engage in at least one major project per year. In collaboration with the EAD oversee administrative work plans and budgets. Play an active role in securing funding to include contributing to fundraising applications and maintaining relationships with key funders. Inspire new funders through the expression and delivery of MSIPs artistic vision. Research and analyze data to create content designed to support fundraising efforts. In conjunction with the EAD develops strategic plans for programming fundraising communications and operations. Coordinate with the EAD and Director of Access and Engagement to develop and implement marketing and audience development plans. In collaboration with the MSIP team oversee the effective implementation of donor and community events. Oversee MSIPs artistic and administrative apprenticeship program. Support company management efforts providing excellent customer service to visiting artists through building a positive and collaborative community experience. Develop and maintain the highest level of communication with all MSIP constituencies the EAD and staff. Serve on Board committees related to the administration of MSIP . Acts as a liaison to the Friends of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks 5013 organization providing board support. Ensure that MSIP provides a welcoming inclusive environment for all staff volunteers and patrons. Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Artistic Director.
