AMMA is a globally advanced materials company which develops and manufactures super highend CCL (Copper Clad Laminate) for the nextgeneration highspeed communication business field. AMMA provides high value add products of dielectric substrates for high frequency electronics such as 5G Automotive Radar High Speed Telecom and Aerospace & Avionics Radar/Communication industries.
SUMMARY
Plan coordinate and perform experiments including chemical physical electrical and mechanical tests in support of AGC Multi Material America Inc. R&D Field Service Sales Production and Marketing efforts. Analyze interpret evaluate and report test data generated. Assist in method development problem solving data evaluation and technical report writing.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Plan coordinate and perform materials characterization including chemical physical electrical and mechanical testing in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Utilize analytical instrumentation Ion migration evaluation systemDifferential scanning calorimetry thermomechanical analysis Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy thermal gravimetric analysisdynamic mechanical analysis rheometer etc. and other equipments as required.
  • Utilize knowledge of chemistry and materials to analyze understand interpret and evaluate test data generated.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance minor repairs calibrations and verifications of analytical equipment.
  • Assist in development and documentation of test methods as required for product/material characterization.
  • Assist in material and process troubleshooting and problemsolving activities.
  • Communicate experimental detail information both verbally and legibly written to R&D analytical lab manager as well as other members of the R&D group.
  • Generate technical reports summarizing work performed and results obtained.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Interface with R&D quality control production technology shipping sales and marketing customers and equipment vendors as required.
  • Utilizepersonal protective equipment as required must always operate in a safe manner and notify the R&D analytical lab manager of unsafe situations. Assist in development review and documentation of safety procedures. Participate in group and site safety activities.
  • Accurately record observations during experiments. Maintain a laboratory notebook as a legal record and document of R&D activities.
  • Assist with trials on experimental pilot scale or production equipment to evaluate new materials new product designs and/or process modifications as directed.
  • Perform nonroutine specialized testing on materials and products as directed. Assist in development of new test methods as required for product/material characterization.
  • Make suggestions for safety process material and testing improvements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Intermediate algebra.
  • Ability to communicate read and comprehend standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of excel and word processing software.
  • Must be detail oriented and have good organizational skills.
  • This position requires a minimum of one to two years at community college with course work in Chemistry or physical sciences.
  • Experience working in a chemical or analytical laboratory is desired.
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry materials science or related field is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read write and verbally communicate effectively in the English language is required for all roles.
REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING (ALL JOBS)
AGC follows all required OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standard industry guidelines inregards to the use of personal protective equipment and safety training required for the specific job function.
The physical and environmental categories described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS (All production facilities engineering shipping/receiving quality/inspection and lab positions.
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • Ability to Stand walk sit use of hands to handle feel or grasp objects tools or controls.
  • Reach and lift with hands and arms; lift/move/carry objects up to 25 lbs. in weight.
  • Climb stairs balance stoop kneel and/or crouch.
  • Ability to talk and hear for safety on the production floor.
  • Visual ability to see things in close vision distance vison color vision peripheral vison depth perception and ability to adjust focus as needed.
PAY
$20.00/hr
WORK SCHEDULE/OVERTIME
Overtime as required. Business hours.
