Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional for the role of Die Design based in our Bangalore office. This is a fulltime position and the successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and innovative die designs that meet the evolving needs of our clients. The role requires a solid understanding of tools and processes in the design of die and press tools particularly in automobiles.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in die design with a deep understanding of die types such as progressive transfer and tandem dies is essential for this role.
- Experience with press tool design specifically within the automotive sector to address specific manufacturing challenges.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in die manufacturing and tool development.
- Strong problemsolving skills to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the design phase with innovative solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Must have attention to detail to maintain quality and precision in die design processes.
- Experience in CAD software for designing and modelling dies and tools to streamline the production process.
- Commitment to continuous learning to keep up with industry trends and technological advancements relevant to die design.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and finalize die designs based on client requirements and industry standards to meet production goals.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including project managers and engineers to ensure successful delivery of designs.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of die performance to validate efficiency and quality.
- Optimize design processes and materials to improve cost efficiency and reduce production time.
- Oversee the development of prototypes and communicate necessary modifications and improvements to stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and design records for future reference and process improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest in technology and die design methodology to enhance design practices.
- Report progress and any potential delays to management to ensure timely project delivery.
