About the role

  • We have an opportunity for a teamorientated individual to assist the team lead in the delivery of Gap Treatment work scheduled for the Fire Management Program.
  • Reporting to the Lead Fire Management you will oversee Site Assessments and Gap Treatment Works ensuring compliance with OSH Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
  • You will be responsible for executing and monitoring program outcomes including time cost and quality while coordinating highvalue tendering and legal processes. Additionally you will prepare and report on progress to keep the program on track.
  • You will also develop program management plans and negotiate service agreements with internal and external stakeholders.

To be highly effective in this role you will:

  • Have extensive experience in complex asset and structural bushfire risk assessment and gap treatment design aligned with AS3959 (ideally on Water Corporation assets).
  • Be skilled in assessing designing and implementing gap treatment activities such as prescribed burns and mechanical clearing.
  • Hold BAL Assessor Level 1 certification and have experience with ArcGIS & project management systems.
  • Have strong knowledge of state and commonwealth statutes related to bushfire risk management and AS3959.
  • Have awareness of technical and commercial aspects of delivering mitigation activities while considering environmental impacts.
