At Hitachi Energy we are investing to establish and develop an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid Spain (ESOPC) within Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU). Therefore we are seeking highly qualified engineers in the fields of Power Electronics Grid Integration and Research and Development (R&D) to join us in this exciting opportunity.
We leverage our longstanding technology leadership vast integration expertise extensive installed base and global footprint to provide our customers with lifecycle value solutions at the lowest risk. Our customers are in the utility renewables industry transportation data centers and infrastructure sectors.
In this context with a pioneering technologyleading offering Hitachi Energys Power Electronics Solutions Teamsupportsthe green energy transition with technologies that bring resilience stability andincreased capacity to the power grid.
Hitachi Energy provides solutions to electrify and power networks and systems including power electronic systems for power conversion and quality.
As part of the Spanish Operation Centre you will be part of a team to support the design manufacturing anddelivery of such technologies all over Europe.
How youll make an impact
You will be responsible for plant design; planning coordinating and communicating all technical aspects related to mechanical plant design within the project
Handle technical specifications and standards towards design solution
3D and 2D design of electrical plants including tasks such as:
Plant layout Civil conceptional design Cable Trench & Conduit layout Grounding & Lightning Protection Calculations Design of steel and aluminum structures Creation of plant section drawings
Collaborating with System Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering internally.
Your background
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electromechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
More than 5 years of experience in Power Systems Power quality Power Grid Solution Power transmission (HVDC) Substations
Knowledge of SolidWorks/ Revit or other 3D Modelling using Plant Design Tools (Smart Plant/ PDS/ PDMS AutoCAD Micro Station) or Assembly Design Tools (NX ADI) or BIM 360.
A collaborative solutionsoriented approach and strong communication skills.
Fluent in English
Willingness to travel up to 10; more in the beginning for learning. Type of trips: Installation support customer/site visits conferences meet colleagues in Sweden and India
