Minimum Qualifications
Three or more years of network engineering experience in wired wireless or voice enterprise network environments. Demonstrated experience with a variety of networking concepts practices and procedures. Demonstrated experience configuring routers switches computers and wireless access points for successful network operations in a Cisco environment. Some familiarity with the UNIX command line environment. Familiarity with the support of DNS and DHCP . Knowledge of design maintenance and troubleshooting for data and voice communications and network systems. Bachelors degree in major that includes exposure to Computer Science Telecommunications Networking Engineering or closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent interpersonal organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work independently as a contributing team member and routinely update director on results. Ability to mentor less experienced staff members. Ability to contribute to group projects and work collaboratively as a member of a strong technical team. Ability to travel once or twice a year for education professional development or conferences. Willingness to earn industry certifications. Ability to perform light lifting as appropriate for network hardware installations and maintenance. Flexibility in work schedule willingness to occasionally adjust work hours on Wednesdays between midnight and 8 A.M. for the maintenance window. No weekends except in emergencies no oncall rotation. Must live in the area this is not a remote work position. Writing sample should include a document you have created for anything related to instructions or documentation.
