Job Description
S&H Youth And Adult Services (SHYAS) is looking to hire 4Fulltime female residential counselors and 4 Parttime female residential counselors to staff our new residential treatment facility in Concord NC.
To join our strong team of substance use professionals we ask that you apply and attend an interview with our SUD Program Manager at 714 South Main Street Salisbury NC 28144. Our ideal candidate is a selfstarter ambitious and hardworking person who selfidentifies as being in recovery.
SHYAS CARES Residential Recovery Support Specialist (residential counselors) are salaried employees who receive the following benefits:
- Salary that ranges between $33280 $36400.

- Free Clinical Supervision for NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board Credentialing (LCAS CCS CADC CSAPC CJAP) valued at $2160.00
2 Full time position 8:30Am to 8:30pm two days on two days off
2 Full time positions 8:30pm to 8:30am two days on two days off
4 Part time positions to work varying shifts as floaters
Responsibilities
S&H Youth and Adult Services Residential Recovery Support Specialist (Residential Counselors) are responsible for:
- Provide residential supports to female SUD recovery participants.
- Facilitate recovery skills group counseling and education sessions to assist clients in meeting therapeutic goals
- Conducting individual counseling to provide crises intervention support & guidance and address client behaviors and personal problems in the residential facility.
- Accompany participants to selfhelp groups in the community.
- Documenting participants progress and responses to services.
Job Requirements:
- NC Peer Support Certification or NCASPPB Certification required
- Related work experience with a programspecific population (adult) in a residential treatment setting required
