Job Description
Medical Assistant MA
Location:Phoenix AZ and surrounding areas.
Position Type:Contract
Reports To:Medical Nursing Personnel

Job Summary:
- Performs duties within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice to ensure quality patient care under the direct supervision of medical or nursing personnel.
- Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other systems.
- Prepares patients for examinations and treatments taking patient histories vital signs and recording chief complaints.
- Performs office procedures tests and examinations.
- Maintains supplies for exam and procedure rooms and transcribes provider orders.
- Schedules followup appointments and administers injections immunizations and skin TB tests per protocol.
- Conducts venipunctures and lab tests. Handles office duties such as copying filing scanning scheduling and document preparation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including document creation spreadsheets emails and calendar tasks using Microsoft Office software.
Qualifications:
- You must commit 36 hours per week.
Supporting Documentation/Additional Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Copy of certificate of completion from an MA accredited Health Care Training Program.
- Completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
- Current First Aid Certification.
- Minimum one year working experience.
