- Possession of Lifesaving Society Instructor/Examiner Award (LSI)
- Possession of Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard
- Possession of Lifesaving Society SwimAbilities Award (SA)
- Possession of Intermediate (Standard) First Aid from a Government approved first aid provider (Emergency First Aid is not acceptable)
- All awards must be kept current according to certifying organizations standards

Conditions of Employment:
- Hire is dependent on Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector satisfactory to the City of Edmonton

What will you do
- Instruct aquatic lessons for children youth and adults
- Maintain a safe leisure centre environment for customers and staff in and around the water
- Prepare lesson plans evaluations progress cards routine reports seasonal statistics and assessment sheets as required
- Interact with staff and supervisors to keep current on new techniques
- Participate in all applicable inservice training
- Maintain instructional equipment used during lessons
- Perform other related duties as required
