If you are a Software Development professional Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Software Developer who would be responsible to develop software applications and implement first principles power plant equipment model designs into Ovation creating Digital Twin solution. The person would use his power plant expertise process knowledge thermodynamic fluid dynamic and highfidelity simulator knowledge to support personnel developing power plant simulators using the Ovation Digital Twin. The successful candidate will work as part of a global development team.
The simulation environment is integral to the Ovation distributed control system. Simulators are for operator training engineering analysis and design/testing and will integrate with Ovation DCS for realtime applications. The models themselves will consist of the differential/algebraic equations that describe the steady state transient and startup/cold conditions of the equipment being modeled.
The ideal candidate would have extensive experience with software development methods in simulation control or other equivalent engineering applications.
