Description

San Antonio Christian School is seeking a dynamic experienced and collaborative leader to serve as its Instructional Technology Specialist/Instructor. Located on a beautiful 71acre campus SACS is a nondenominational covenant Christian school with small class sizes and quality academics coupled with a wide range of art and athletic opportunities which provide students with a Christcentered education while fostering a life of faith and service.

The Instructional Technology Specialist/Instructor focuses on serving the school through classroom instruction and technology support to the faculty and staff. The main objective of this position is to assist the instructional and curriculum program. This position will work closely with the Director of Information Technology to implement and maintain a variety of technology platforms used across multiple departments of SACS.

This person shall be spiritually mature and shall instill a life of Faith Character and Academic Excellence in those around them adhering to SACS Heart of a Lion Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of all policies procedures and handbooks.

  • Demonstrate emotional stability objectivity flexibility and optimism in dealing with everyday stress and communicating the Gospel of Christ.
  • Maintain a clean modest and tasteful personal appearance that models Christian values and follows school policy.
  • Participate and lead orientations trainings meetings development programs and activities that support the schools mission and vision and model good attendance and punctuality.
  • Cultivate volunteer efforts in support of communication and marketing goals.
  • Attend as needed evening and weekend school activities and events.
  • Respectfully submit and be loyal to constituted authority.
  • Willing to participate in continuing education opportunities that will increase proficiency and job skills.

JOB DUTIES COMPETENCIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Student Support

  • Facilitate student opportunities to develop and apply technology skills including leading a student technology club.
  • Oversee the use and integration of resources in the Academic Research and Resource Center (ARRC).
  • Create opportunities for students to learn how to effectively utilize research materials available online.
  • Promote and model effective use of instructional technology for students.
  • Teach technology courses as needed.

Classroom Support

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional strategies that enhance learning through technology.
  • Provide classroom technology support through coteaching modeling coplanning and resource development.
  • Research and recommend curriculumaligned technology applications and tools for various content areas and grade levels.
  • Foster collaboration among teachers and students through innovative uses of technology.
  • Promote and model effective use of instructional technology in the classroom.

Teacher Support

  • Serve as the primary resource for technology integration offering personalized support to teachers gradelevel teams and faculty.
  • Coordinate and facilitate professional development on instructional technology including training for new faculty and students.
  • Work with administration to identify and address technologyrelated professional development needs.
  • Provide support and training for the student information system in collaboration with department personnel.
  • Assess and report on the impact of technology on educational goals and recommend resource purchases.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance instruction and operations.
  • Collaborate with IT Academic Dean and school leadership to align technology initiatives with academic objectives.
  • Assist the Director of IT with campuswide technology integration.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Educational Technology or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in technology integration in educational settings with a strong focus on instructional support. Has mastery skills in multiple platforms to include but not limited to:
    • Windows iPads and SMART Boards
    • Microsoft 365 Google Workspace Canvas
    • Website Management and database maintenance
    • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software.
    • Demonstrate excellent computer literacy and technology awareness.
  • Maintain confidentiality while working various items that are sensitive in nature.
  • Able to handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion to guide and mentor individuals supporting their learning and professional growth with patience and encouragement.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology tools and trends.
  • Strong collaboration interpersonal skills communication and organizational skills.
  • Acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior and be an active member of a local evangelical church that aligns with the schools essential beliefs Nicene Creed and statement of faith.
  • Must pass a criminal background check. Have reliable transportation to and from work.
