Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items according to Proper Grits recipes and standards ensuring accuracy taste and presentation.
Station Management: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies ingredients and equipment for service.
Quality Control: Inspect ingredients and dishes to ensure they meet quality standards promptly addressing any issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with fellow line cooks prep cooks and the culinary leadership team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area following all safety and sanitation guidelines including proper food handling and storage.
Time Management: Execute orders efficiently during highvolume service meeting timing and pacing expectations.
Adaptability: Be flexible to assist in other areas of the kitchen or with special tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferably in a highvolume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques kitchen equipment and food safety protocols.
Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Teamoriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
