Job Description
Position Description:
This position will serve as the athletic trainer for assigned teams and will work in collaboration with the Sports Medicine team to provide comprehensive care for studentathletes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include evaluating illnesses and injuries to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Assist in coordinating the coverage of appropriate medical personnel and travel arrangements with assigned teams for away competitions.
- Serve as a liaison for the medical care and wellbeing between studentathletes coaches physicians healthcare providers and sports medicine staff.
- Update and maintain accurate medical records for individual studentathletes including medical history physical exam forms daily injury reports and progress notes.
- Responsible for the operation and implementation of preseason physicals.
- Up to 25 travel required.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of one year of experience as an athletic trainer.
- Masters Degree
- BOC certified Indiana License or ability to obtain.
