Job Description

As a Service Tech I at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division youll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Additional duties include the following:

  • Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
  • Report machine condition to Management
  • Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed including checking electrical continuity wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
  • Demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
  • Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
  • Superior customer service teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Note: This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rate of pay and benefits will be determined by the agreement in place.
