We are seeking an experienced Home Health & Hospice Educator to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare by training and mentoring healthcare professionals.
As a Home Health & Hospice Educator you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the home health and hospice sector. Your role will focus on staff training competency development and compliance with industry best practices.
Develop and implement training programs for home health and hospice staff ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Provide handson training mentorship and support to nurses and healthcare providers.
Conduct orientation sessions for new hires ensuring they are wellequipped to meet job expectations.
Evaluate staff competency and provide continuous education on policies procedures and clinical skills.
Stay updated on industry trends CMS regulations and accreditation requirements to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement effective educational strategies.
Support quality assurance initiatives and promote evidencebased practices within home health and hospice care.
Utilize various teaching methods including inperson training elearning modules and handson demonstrations.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among healthcare staff.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in home health hospice or a related healthcare setting.
Background: Previous experience in teaching preceptorship or staff education required.
Licensure: Active RN license in Connecticut.
Strong knowledge of home health and hospice regulations guidelines and best practices.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt training methods to different learning styles and levels of experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
