A Day in the Life of a EMT

In this role you will be at the intersection of healthcare and public safety. You will respond to emergency and nonemergency situations providing critical medical care in your communities with time to grab some caffeine during your shift too! Your work includes collaborative efforts with healthcare teams and significant independent tasks focusing on patient safety and effective problemsolving during calls for service. Youll need to efficiently manage EMS equipment and resources to safely respond to calls for service at any time. Expect to perform both routine and complex medical and emergency procedures adapting swiftly to the varied needs of each situation. Regular duties also involve comprehensive documentation and meticulous maintenance of quality control systems.

Education and Experience

Required

• Current EMTB or Intermediate certification from the State of Minnesota EMSRB (OR within one month of hire if on the National Registry)
• American Heart Association BLS provider or instructorlevel certification within 30 days of hire
• Valid MNdrivers license
• Able to provide proof of EVOC training in the last 3 years or will be to complete training within 6 months of hire

Preferred

• Previous EMS experience

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employees experience level preferred education/certifications along with market conditions.
