This position assists restaurant management in overseeing guest service and satisfaction at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Greet guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seat guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation*

• Complete opening and closing procedures including cash control and settlement of guest charges*

• Coordinate reservations and seating charts answer telephones; and oversee service safety and sanitation to ensure quality*

• Respond to guests questions requests and concerns*

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Previous restaurant service experience preferred.

• Ability to operate pointofsale computer and calculator.

• Proven employee/guest relations communication problem solving and organizational skills.

• Professional image representative of company image.

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash.

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include standing (up to 100 of shift) walking bending stooping hearing speaking and finger dexterity.

• The ability to communicate effectively in a loud environment.

• Ability to work a flexible eighthour shift breakfast lunch or dinner including weekends and holidays.
