Description
This is a temporary position.

Global Information Security seeks an expert in Agile methodologies to lead project and delivery. The ideal candidate will excel in SAFe Agile framework practices while also demonstrating proficiency in waterfall methodologies. This role is pivotal in delivering critical security initiatives as part of a multiyear crossfunctional program with strict timelines and interdependencies. Responsibilities include facilitating Agile ceremonies ensuring ontime project delivery within budget and aligning activities with business objectives. Strong communication and problemsolving skills are essential along with a proven track record of success in Agile and waterfall project management.

Shares responsibility for planning directing and coordinating activities pertaining to projects for the Marriott Global Information Security organization monitors and verifies project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.

Required Education and Experience

7 years progressive project management experience with demonstrated involvement in information technology projects while working and delivering in a Waterfall environment

5 years Scrum Master experience while leading and delivering in a SAFe Agile environment

oHas experience in managing tasks in tools such as Jira ServiceNow and Microsoft office

5 years managing EnterpriseScale multiyear and crossfunctional projects and programs while delivering against a strict timeline

Undergraduate degree equivalent experience and/or certification

Scrum Master Certification

PMP Certification

Other Required Attributes and Experience:

Ability to independently drive tasks with minimal direction ensuring timely completion and highquality results. Highly organized and detailoriented maintaining accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodology and program management.

Solid understanding of current technologies with the ability to develop and deliver projects using leading edge technologies.

Cybersecurity project management experience

Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions documenting them and communicating to various levels including senior and executive level management.

Ability to independently drive tasks with minimal direction ensuring timely completion and highquality results.

Extremely high level of analytical ability to resolve complex and difficult issues. Takes a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Superior time management and planning abilities capable of juggling multiple deadlines effectively even with short notice.

Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employees and elicit work output in a team environment.

CORE WORK ACTIVITES

Monitors and verifies project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives

Plans directs and coordinates activities pertaining to the Marriott Global Information Security organization so that information security objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters

Influences and coaches Agile teams on best practices consistent with direction set by Technology Program Management & Agile Transformation team.

Facilitates Agile ceremonies standups sprint planning meetings sprint reviews backlog grooming and retrospectives)

Serves multiple information security initiatives and Agile teams simultaneously with an objective of driving company results.

Directs the work of Agile teams including dependent and cross functional teams.

Provides crossfunctional visibility into status resourcing needs granular requirements dates and escalations for assigned projects.

Functions as a key escalation point to Agile teams to resolve issues.

Partners with Product Owners in Program Increment planning and delivery

Supports the Product Owner in managing the Initiative roadmap and product backlog effectively

Provides/clearly communicates status actions risks and put forth solutions

Manages internal and external projects from inception to successful implementation

Adapts to a fast paced often ambiguous and event driven environment

Aligns change management processes and strategies with project

Produces and presents project related materials as necessary

Serves as a liaison with Global Information Security and other departments such as GT Digital Legal and Privacy various business functions etc.

Tracks and reports project status

Maintaining Goals

Submits reports in a timely manner ensuring delivery deadlines are met.

Promotes the documenting of project progress accurately.

Provides input and assistance to other teams regarding projects.

Managing Work Projects and Policies

Manages and implements work and projects as assigned.

Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports presentations etc.

Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Provides timely accurate and detailed status reports as requested.

Demonstrating and Applying Discipline Knowledge

Provides technical expertise and support to persons inside and outside of the department.

Demonstrates knowledge of jobrelevant issues products systems and processes.

Demonstrates knowledge of functionspecific procedures.

Keeps uptodate technically and applies new knowledge to job.

Uses computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and/ or process information.

Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders

Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.

Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize organize and accomplish work.

Determines priorities schedules plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.

Collaborates with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies.

Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.

Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports presentations etc.

Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.

The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $75.91 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
