Overview of role:
As a Teaching Assistant with Genie Lab Science Ltd you will play a vital role in nurturing childrens interest in science. Youll lead engaging school science clubs deliver interactive STEM presentations and assist in workshops and events. This role provides the perfect opportunity to combine a passion for science and education leaving a positive and lasting impact on young learners.
Key details:
- Working hours:
- Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM 5:00 PM 3 hours per day)
- Occasional Saturdays 3 hours)
- Termtime only 3840 weeks a year)
- Location: Foxwell Hunts Hill Road Guildford Surrey GU3 2AH with travel to various schools around Surrey.
- Wage: 7.50 per hour
Apprenticeship details:
- Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration of course: 16 months
- Training provider: LMP Education (Rated BEST UK training provider !
- Delivery: Online/remote learning alongside role
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead afterschool science clubs from Monday to Friday during term time.
- Host occasional weekend science parties for children.
- Assist in delivering workshops assemblies and STEM events at schools.
- Support with administrative tasks and organizing science kits.
- Travel to schools across Surrey transporting equipment and kits as needed.
- Engage and interact with children to foster a love for science.
- Participate in training sessions and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
- An outgoing and friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable punctual and organized.
- Some knowledge of primarylevel science.
- Previous experience working with children is desirable.
- A UK drivers license and access to a vehicle (essential).
