- Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent or higher) in Business Administration Industrial Engineering Computing Science Engineering Technology Information Systems or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible transit operations analysis experience

- Masters Degree in Business Administration Industrial Engineering Computing Science Engineering Technology Information Systems or a related discipline is considered an asset

The City of Edmonton is seeking a dynamic and analytical individual to join the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) team as a Paratransit Service Specialist.
As a Paratransit Service Specialist you will be instrumental in driving improvements to DATS service delivery. You will analyze operational data identify trends and use your expertise to recommend and implement solutions that enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction. This involves working with a variety of software and systems developing reports and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills with a passion for improving public services. You will report to the Supervisor of Paratransit Planning & Service Deployment and work within a team that values safety respect customer service compassion and teamwork.
- Maintain and optimize customer service tools such as Enghouse IVR Upside Wireless SMS and PASS Web Online Booking
- Monitor IVR behavior and analyze data trends to identify areas for service improvement
- Create and update SAP Crystal Reports and utilize ARC GIS and FME for spatial and data analysis
- Develop and implement operational tools to enhance service delivery
- Utilize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from various databases
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Paratransit Scheduling and Dispatching tools
- Leverage Google Sheets and App Scripts to streamline operational analysis and service monitoring processes
- Analyze technical data and evaluate the significance of findings to ensure efficient and effective DATS service delivery
- Determine optimal fleet mix research appropriate ride durations and participate in the development of DATS scheduling philosophy
- Analyze and forecast future demand using statistical techniques and modeling
- Research and analyze the current state of specialized transit service design and make recommendations for improvement
- Prepare reports that summarize findings and translate them for use within ETS
- Conduct monthly strategic reporting and statistical analysis
- Support and provide coverage for Paratransit Systems Specialist and Paratransit Technology Systems Specialist as required
