Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the operation and of entertainment shows via Show Control. Use of Advanced Control Systems for Lighting Audio Video Lasers and Special Effects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the operation of the Technical Booth within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting and audio in a live show situation using systems such as Medialon Ovation Alcorn McBride and others.
  • Responsible for the appropriate installation and maintenance of lighting audio video ground rigging staging set up.
  • Accountable for assisting in maintaining shows or event specific inventory of all Technical equipment & supplies
  • Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by the Entertainment Department governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Operation of the Technical Booth within the assigned venue or event including but not limited to the operation of lighting and audio in a live show situation using systems such as Medialon Ovation Alcorn McBride and others.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED: is required.
  • Technical school: is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 13 years experience using advanced control systems likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred.
  • Prior experience on advanced show control systems such as Medialon Ovation Alcorn McBride Birket and Allen Bradley preferred.
  • Emergency Repairs Parts Assembly and networking preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
