Position Overview:
Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach for theWinter Season. Applicants with previous coaching experience at the HS level 21 years or older possessing a valid Washington State drivers license and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Athletic Director.
Wrestling is a Winter Sport.The season runs fromNovember 17 2025 through February 21 2026.
Responsibilities:
Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS Metro League and WIAA policies and procedures.
Supervision of studentathletes during all team activities including practices and competitions. Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3pm7pm during the season as well as weekends for tournaments.
Effective communication with players coaching colleagues and parents.
Promotion of sportsmanship camaraderie and fair play among team members.
Motivate and encourage players individual progress with an emphasis on promoting teamwork and strategic development.
Manage coaching staff.
Manage the yearly wrestling budget.
Determine yearly schedule of tournaments with approval from AD.
