Senior Accounting Manager AWS Supply Chain

The global accounting organization supports our financial reporting internal control intercompany and transfer pricing activities as well as supports new business launches globally for Amazon in the consumer products digital initiatives merchant operations logistics payments and cloud computing lines of business.

Given the size and growth of the Accounting department and rotation to other Amazon departments we are always looking for strong candidates to fill new positions and backfill existing ones.

Responsibilities
This position will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process. In addition this position will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to influence the design of systems processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities. Technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement of this position. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate they were top performers at their level.

We are currently looking for candidates who are at the senior manager level. Successful candidates for this position will have the equivalent of 9 years of professional experience with financial reporting and internal control related responsibilities. Many of our candidates for this position will also have held similar positions in larger public companies or who have held a senior manager level position with a Big 4 public accounting firm serving Fortune 500 clients for 2 or more years. Candidates for this position may have held controller or finance director positions in public or private companies. Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges will be expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.



12 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
7 years of finance technology forecast & budgeting or other financefocused competency experience
Experience with Tableau Python SQB Quicksight Cognos or or other BI packages

MBA or CPA
Experience in a leadership position managing finance accounting and operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
