The Senior Manager Digital Management is accountable for managing a design/ development/ content/ analytics team focused on delivering worldclass user experiences for the Direct Energy Canada websites www.directenergy & www.directenergyregulatedservices including customer selfservice and account maintenance offerings. Reporting to the Director of Care Digital and Change this role requires a strong business acumen quantitative skills and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and vendors.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of worldclass UX designers developers content managers and analysts who are driven to deliver customercentric experiences.
- Work with the Direct Energy Canada Leadership Team to ensure efforts target the achievement of Key Performance Indicators such as web enrollments conversion rates Net Promoter Scores etc.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Product Conversion Manager (CRO) Product Management Team Digital Operations and Digital IT teams to manage digital assets drive growth and optimize customer experience.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and Digital Sales teams to support new product implementations and more importantly conversion optimization efforts.
- Work effectively with local and remote stakeholders in Canada the US Guatemala El Salvador and otherwise as applicable.
- Help Direct Energy Canada teams prioritize negotiate and remove obstacles to ship datadriven customercentric and ADAcompliant solutions.
- Develop business cases to support digital asset initiatives.
- Manage multiple and concurrent projects/ initiatives keeping them on track from a schedule scope and budget perspective.
- Develop platform roadmaps for digital assets including required IT changes and support.
- Champion the needs of the user focusing on humancentered design philosophy.
- Work with marketing to develop guidelines and style guides that reinforce Direct Energys brand values look and feel across all sites products and channels.
- Own digital design across all products and services adopting a mobile first approach.
- Mentor team members to enable them to make bold decisions that transform how customers interact with digital across the customer journey.
- Create flexible and scalable designs that can grow and evolve with markets and new technologies/ applications.
- Facilitate effective design test concepts and conduct quantitative and/or qualitative research with users such as usability studies interviews and surveys.
- Improve the user experience and iterate upon it in accordance with usertesting feedback.
- Work closely with Digital Operations IT and thirdparty vendors to ensure platforms are operational and functioning as designed/ required.
- Remain current on best practices trends and patterns in modern UX design.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in technology (Computing Science or MIS) or business (Bachelor of Commerce).
- 10 years web design and development experience across mobile tablet and desktop platforms.
- 5 years managing web design and development teams.
- Related experience in an industry that markets to consumers (e.g. Consumer Packaged Goods the Airline Industry etc..
- Experience using data statistical analysis predictive modeling and factbased management to drive customer satisfaction and business value.
- Ability to translate product requirements into industryleading solutions.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to design and develop digital solutions.
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative inputs from internal and external sources to conduct root cause analysis of business problems produce dashboards metrics or insights and identify trends or anomalies.
- Solid comprehension of user flow wireframes mockups and prototypes.
- Solid comprehension of web app frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Experience applying new technology to analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced technical (Computing Science or MIS) or business (MBA) Degree.
- Experience defining and implementing KPIs.
- Understanding of usercentered design standards.
- Understanding of frontend code for websites web applications and mobile solutions using HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Fluency with industrystandard design tools such as InVision UXPin Axure AdobeXD Sketch Balsamiq Keynote etc.
- Experience with Fire Engine AngularJS & Drupal preferred.
- Agile delivery experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with print and digital media preferred.
- Artificial Intelligence experience would be an asset.
- Small commercial market experience would be an asset.
